Ronald James Bua

Ronald James Bua, age 84, was born on October 30, 1941, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. A distinguished attorney, Ronald devoted his professional life to the practice of law. He earned his undergraduate degree from Penn State University and his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. His intellect, integrity, and dedication defined both his career and the way he lived his life.

Ronald had many passions, with sports and his beloved cigars at the top of the list. He was well known throughout Pittsburgh for always having a stogie nearby-often unlit-an unmistakable trademark that reflected his personality and presence.

His love of sports spanned a lifetime. He played football at Penn State, later enjoying squash and racquetball in his earlier adult years, and eventually took up golf later in life. Always the jokester, Ronald was a gifted storyteller who loved to read and greatly enjoyed going to the movies.

First and foremost, Ronald was a devoted son to his parents, James and Gata. He is survived by his significant other of more than 48 years, Karen Kutzer, and by his sisters, Beverly Doyle and Karen DeCecco. He was the proud parent of four adult children.

He is survived by three daughters and one son: Tade Bua-Bell and her husband, Brad Bell, and their son, Trent Bell, of Naples, Florida; Erin Bua and her twins, Ella Mae and Smith Schepp, of Charleston, South Carolina; Dr. Paige Tomcho and her husband, Dr. John Tomcho, and their three children, Briar, Tade, and Drake, of Charlotte, North Carolina; Shane Bua and his wife, Taylor Meritt, of Mount Lebanon, Pennsylvania.

Ronald will be remembered as a man of sharp intellect, quiet strength, and humor His legacy lives on through his loved ones who carry forward his values, work ethic and love.

Funeral arrangements by BEINHAUERS. Family and friends welcome at 2828 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317 (724 941-3211), on Friday, January 30th from 4-7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday January 31st at 10:00 am at St. Bernard's Church, St Michael the Archangel Parish in Mt.
