On January 9, 2025, Rosine Bua passed away peacefully with her family by her side, in Watsonville CA. She was 96.
Rosine was born on November 30, 1928, in Monterey, California, to her parents Vincent Altavilla and Lucy (Belleci) Altavilla.
Rosine was a bookkeeper by trade but was a homemaker by choice most of her adult life. She was a fabulous Italian cook, and her recipes will be her legacy to her family to continue their traditions in her honor. She enjoyed spending most of her time with her family and treasured grandchildren and great grand children, and was an avid fan of both the SF 49ers and the SF Giants. She had been a resident of Watsonville for over 60 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Bloomquist, of Watsonville, 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years, Nat Bua, her daughter, Robyn Leonardich and her sister, Nel Horvath.
A private service and celebration of life will be held in the coming weeks.
