Christopher L. Laurent, 53, Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on March 19, 2024, at his home. Born August 11, 1970 in Green Bay, the son of Timothy and Alice (Grunwald) Laurent.  Chris is a 1988 graduate of Preble High School. In 1991 he attended NWTC, graduating from the Automotive Tech Program.  He held various jobs until he started his own automotive and motorcycle repair business. Chris completed the truck driving program in 2018 at FVTC and drove for a number of years. Chris decided he would rather stay close to home and returned to his love of repairing autos and motorcycles, in which he was very successful. He inherited his love of motorcycles from both of his parents and enjoyed meeting friends at local motorcycle events and car shows. Chris enjoyed cooking, especially with his slow-cooker. Chris was always willing to learn more, which was apparent when he remodeled his whole house. Chris was looking forward to building a new "Shouse" on land he just purchased. Chris was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed his assistance in various ways.

Chris is survived by his parents; sister, Julie Laurent; nephews, Marco and Julian Sierra; son, Ben Olson; aunts and uncles, Adele Laurent, Joyce Brown, Ralph Grunwald, Earl Grunwald, Lee Grunwald, Dale (Jill) Grunwald, and Janice (John) Haen; numerous cousins and other relatives. He will also especially be missed by his many very close friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie (nee Nachtwey); paternal grandparents, Clarence and Minerva Laurent and Minerva's second husband, Ted Holsbach; maternal grandparents, Reinhold and Ardina Grunwald; and aunt, Carol (Don) Dahnke.

Gathering of family and friends at Malcore (East) Funeral Home, 701 N. Baird Street, on Thursday, April 4th from 1pm until 4pm, followed by a brief memorial service. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Algoma, at 1pm Friday, April 5th. .

The family extends a special thank you to the many relatives and friends who have offered their support during this difficult time.
