Christopher John Lee passed away at his home in Taylorsville, Utah on November 17, 2022, at the age of 41. He was born August 18, 1981, to loving parents Scott Marshall Lee and Diane Louise Peterson Lee in Provo, Utah- the third of six children. Chris has two older brothers, two younger brothers, and a younger sister. Chris lived in Springville and Ivins, Utah, and then grew up in Santa Clara, Utah. He graduated from Snow Canyon High School and earned his Eagle Scout award.
Chris was full of energy and had an adventurous spirit. He seemed to always have places to go and things to do. Chris was always the life of the party. He was quick-witted and could always make people laugh. Chris loved the ocean, longboarding, fishing, family get-togethers, amusement parks, and had a talent for drawing. Most of all, Chris had a very kind heart and loved to help and serve anyone who needed help, including friends and strangers alike. He was a beautiful example of selflessness and never thought twice about whether or not he should lend a helping hand. Chris was a hard worker and loved to work with his hands.
Chris married Trina Montgomery in 2006. They were sealed in the St. George Temple on April 14, 2007, and had two adorable children, Abigale Jacque and Tyson Christopher. They were later divorced.
He loved his parents and siblings dearly and adored his children. Being a father was everything to him. His children had a special place in his heart. He was a real family man and he endeared nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles to him. He had a very sweet relationship with his Aunt Jacque who lived near him. Chris was a good and kind soul who struggled throughout most of his life. Although he tried many times to overcome his challenges with the help and love of his family, they eventually became too big for him. We will miss him dearly until we see him again.
He is survived by his children: Abigale Jacque and Tyson Christopher of Taylorsville, UT; parents, Scott and Diane Lee of Santa Clara, UT; siblings: Jared (Jaclyn) Lee of Taylorsville, UT; Ryan Lee of Las Vegas, NV; Michael (Heidi) Lee of Santa Clara, UT; Jason (Shaylin) Lee of Hurricane, UT; and Jennifer (Jake)Talbot of Payson, UT.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, H. Donl and Mary Lou Peterson of Orem, UT; and Marshall and Joy Lee of Thatcher, AZ.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for all the love and support they have received from family and friends during this difficult time.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 28, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the Santa Clara 11th Ward Chapel, 3815 Rachel Drive, Santa Clara, Utah. Visitations will be held Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Metcalf Mortuary, 288 West St. George Blvd., St. George, Utah and on Monday, prior to services, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Santa Clara City Cemetery located at 1950 Ancestor Way.
