Hurricane, Utah – Jayden Brandon Holt, 24, passed away January 23, 2024. He was born August 26, 1999 in
Ogden, Utah to Brandon Wade Holt and Mekael Johanna Jones.
Jayden was known for his adventurous spirit. He was always up for camping and hiking or off-roading. Jayden had an infectious smile, and he always had his tongue sticking out slightly when you caught a genuine Jayden smile.
Jayden's kindness is deep. He is thoughtful, loving, generous, and kind. Despite the shining human Jayden was, his mental health overpowered him in the end, succumbing to suicide on January 23, 2024.
We lost you too soon, our beautiful son. We will carry on your memory by sharing your laughter, being kind to everyone we interact with, by hiking in nature and taking time to admire the beauty that exists, by hugging each other tightly, and saying your name every day.
Jayden loved so many people in this world, especially his family and his friends. He would want to keep this important part of his life to carry on forever. Jayden would want us all to stay close, love as he loved, celebrate, laugh, and be happy. We will carry his legacy on and cherish time together. We will forever love and miss you and remember you every day.
Jayden graduated from Snow Canyon High School 2017, served an honorable full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Nicaragua Managua South Mission. He served in numerous church callings which helped him build on his amazing kind character that he was. Jayden worked occupations that allowed him to be outdoors and be with people that he loved. Jayden loved learning and was studying software development and web development.
Jayden is survived by his parents, Brandon Wade Holt (Anne), Mekael Jones (Kelsey); siblings: Bekah, Tobin, and Ella. Jayden is also survived by step siblings: Maggie and Parker, and Kalicia (Tyson), Karissa (Braydon), Jacob, Jared, Kambria, Joseph; as well as grandparents, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly.
Jayden and Grandpa Holt are together again, driving tractors in endless fields, saying the words "Tractory" with an endless, contagious smile.
