Christopher Paul Marasco Sr., age 72, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away on May 3rd, 2025 at Every Step hospice, Kavanagh House. Christopher was born on May 28th 1952, the son of Michael and Anna Rose (Scarcello) Marasco, in Des Moines, Iowa. He grew up in the Des Moines area and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1970. He stayed in Des Moines and worked in his own business as a construction worker. Known for being a handyman, there weren't too many things that he could not build or fix. Christopher loved to hunt and being outdoors was something he enjoyed. He was known for his funny nature and ability to make anyone laugh. He was a fantastic storyteller with a brilliant mind. Christopher was an avid drummer, playing in the band "M&H". Above all else, Christopher had a deep love for his family.
Preceding him in death were his parents and his son, Andy Marasco
Left to cherish his memory is his fiancé: Stephanie Kennedy; his children: Christopher Marasco Jr, and Chuck (Shannon) Marasco; grandchildren: Maranda, Blake, Joey, and Olivia; great-grandchild: Grace; brothers: Michael (Debbie) Marasco, James Marasco and Fiancé Wendy Wood, and Joseph Marasco; sisters: JoAnne Hunter, Michelle (Lance) Wetsel; as well as many other relatives and friends.
