Christopher J. Parker, 63, passed away peacefully in his home on June 12, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was a cherished husband, father, and son. His presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
Born on September 24, 1961, in Pawtucket, RI, Chris was the son of the late Eileen (Griffin) and Donald Parker. He was a vibrant spirit whose life was characterized by joy, laughter, and a deep passion for his pursuits.
Christopher dedicated many years to being a restaurant manager where he was known for his exceptional leadership and commitment to excellence. A proud master scuba instructor, he found immense joy in sharing his talents and the mysteries of the ocean with his students. His zest for life extended beyond the ocean; he loved traveling, exploring new cultures, and making unforgettable memories with his family.
A happy and fun-loving individual, Chris took great delight in occasionally enjoying a good cigar and bourbon, often sharing these moments with friends and family. Affectionately known as “Mr. Fix it”, there wasn’t a repair or project he was hesitant about tackling. This talent led him to be the “go to” person when something needed repairing as well as some beautiful creations of woodwork through this home. Above all, he deeply loved his family, which brought him endless joy and satisfaction throughout his life.
Christopher leaves behind his beloved wife of 30 years, Deborah (Daignault) Parker of Douglas, his son, Brian Parker of Thompson, CT and his daughter, Julie Parker of Putnam, CT. He is also survived by his father, Donald Parker, and his sister, Kathleen Meiggs and her husband, Tracey. He was preceded by his mother, Eileen Parker, and his sister, Linda (Parker) Giudice.
Family and friends are welcomed to a celebration of Chris’ life with visitation held on Thursday, June 19th from 5:00 pm until 7:00pm at Callahan, Fay& Caswell Life Celebration Home, located at 61 Myrtle St, Worcester, MA, 01608. A funeral Mass will be held Friday, June 20th at 10:00am at Saint John Paul II Parish, 755 Central Ave, Pawtucket, RI 02861. Burial will be held privately for the family.
The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be considered in Chris' name to the Glioblastoma Foundation at https://glioblastomafoundation.org/get-involved/donate.
Please consider a donation as requested by the family.
