She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Richard and Edith M. (Williams) Gubber. She graduated from Doherty Memorial High School class of ’75.

Denise dedicated many years of her life as an Animal Care Technician at the University of Massachusetts, where her compassion and strong work ethic were evident to all who worked alongside her. After retiring, Denise continued to stay active and connected to her community by working at Shaw’s Supermarket.

In her free time, Denise enjoyed playing Keno and loved her scratch tickets, small pleasures that brought her happiness and excitement. Denise will be remembered for her kindness, resilience, and the quiet strength she showed throughout her life.
