Christopher Lane Pittman, 43, passed away on September 25, 2024, at his home in League City, Texas. He was the husband of Rachel Pittman; they shared 20 years of marriage together.
Chris was born in Houston, TX, on July 1, 1981, to Michael and
Gwendolyn Pittman. They moved to Stafford, TX in 1986 where they
resided for the entirety of his childhood. Growing up, he played football and rode BMX bikes competitively and was an animal lover, especially turtles and dogs. He graduated from Kempner High School in Sugarland, TX in 1999.
Chris and Rachel got married on January 20, 2004. They welcomed four children, Breanne in 2003, Marissa in 2006, Chase in 2013 and Jordan in 2017. He was a heavy machinery mechanic, officially beginning his career in 2005, and moved to Baytown, TX when he was working at W.L. Crane. He started as a helper and worked his way up to Parts Manager. From there his career led him to JCR Crane, where he was a mechanic and General Manager. His journey ultimately led him to operating D&D Repair Service in Houston, TX in 2012. He served as a committeeman of the Houston
Rodeo and Livestock Show, as well as a board member on his
neighborhood HOA for many years.
Chris's greatest joy and love in life was his family. He was an avid
fisherman, especially loved night fishing with his wife. He had a passion for cars, his pride and joy being his Hot Wheels edition Camaro. Chris also was a shoe enthusiast; Jordan's were his favorite and was always anxiously awaiting the latest drops. He was dedicated to his work out routines and went to the gym every day. Chris loved grilling for his family, his specialty was ribs and was always playing with different techniques.
Chris had a calling to help people and was always willing to lend a hand or volunteer for a good cause. People were often drawn to tell him their story, he appreciated being trusted to offer inspirational words and advice. He was passionate about everything he did. He believed that a man was only as good as his word. He was the person that you knew you could count on to be there.
