Jason Randell Posten, 46, resident of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 15, 2024. He was born on November 11, 1977, to Chuck and Susan Posten, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Jason grew up in Sugar Land, Texas. This is where he would spend days in the backyard pool, riding bikes and his skateboard, and spending time with friends. While in high school, he started his own lawn mowing business with a lawn mower and his truck.
After graduating from Kempner High School, Jason attended Tomball College, where he completed his studies with a certificate in IT Technology. He also attended courses at A&M University to obtain his irrigation license.
Jason held a few positions in the IT field before he began working with his father and his landscaping company, Turf's Up Landscape.
Jason had a kind, loving nature that allowed him to have a friend in everyone he would stop and talk to. He enjoyed speaking to anyone that would listen and exchange stories and life experiences. He had several hobbies, and was always interested in increasing his knowledge of computers, electronics, cars, woodworking, landscape design, just to name a few. He spent the last few years living with, and taking care of, his grandmother, Jean Pierce.
Jason is survived by his mother, Susan Posten-Forrest, sisters, Kimberly Kalas and Melissa Leick, grandmother Jean Pierce, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and many other extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his father, Chuck Posten, grandfather John Pierce, and grandparents Don and Melba Thomas.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, February 3rd, at 10am. Services will be held at the First Baptist Tomball Church, Fellowship Hall, located at 401 Oxford St.,Tomball, Texas, 77375. The Hall is located at the corner of Oxford and North Oak.
