Christopher Rotz Obituary
Christopher L. Rotz, of Doylestown, PA, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Sunday, July 27, 2025. He was 64 years old.
Chris was the devoted husband of the late Kathleen M. Sheeder Rotz, with whom he shared 29 loving years of marriage.
Born in Philadelphia, PA he is the son of Mary P. (Crist) Rotz of Philadelphia and the late John Rotz and the son in law of Kathleen (Cronin) Sheeder of Warminster and the late Earl Sheeder.
Chris grew up in Philadelphia, and was a 1978 graduate of Father Judge, High School and Penn State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
Chris built a remarkable and respected career as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) for over four decades, most notably as the owner of Christopher L. Rotz & Associates PC. He advised hundreds of clients, providing expert financial guidance and steadfast support to countless businesses throughout his career. Many clients became lifelong friends, a testament to the trust and integrity he consistently demonstrated.
His greatest joy came from spending time in his favorite place on earth, Walt Disney World, with his family. Most recently he was able to take his granddaughter, Paige, to Disney World, not once but twice for her very first visits, two trips we will most certainly never forget.
Chris was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and uncle, his most memorable moments came from spending time with his family. In his free time, he could always be found on his Peloton bike, listening to music in his favorite blue chair, or walking the wall in North Wildwood with his sisters.
He is lovingly remembered by his three children: Megan Rotz of Doylestown, Kaitlan Rotz of East Norriton, and Christopher L. Rotz, Jr., and his wife Mindy of Marlton, NJ. He is also survived by his cherished granddaughter, Paige Kathleen Rotz.
Chris is mourned by his sisters, Geraldine Schmidt and her husband Christopher of Ohio and Laura Hogan and her husband Michael of Chalfont, as well as his nieces and nephew: Jessica Haney and her husband Will, Bridget Hogan, Katie Hogan, Kassidy Campbell, Christopher Schmidt, Ryan Campbell and Trent Campbell.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday, August 1, 2025, from 10:00 AM until the start of his Funeral Mass at 12:30PM, all in St. Jude Church, 321 W. Butler Avenue, Chalfont, PA 18914. Interment will follow at St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
