Christopher L. Snare, 55, currently of Sand Fork, WV, entered into his eternal rest on Friday, July 11, 2025. Born on October 27, 1969, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late Forrest Snare and Patricia (Weber) Snare of York, PA. In September of 2016, he married Alycia J. Waddell who resides in Sand Fork, WV.
Chris graduated from State College Area High School in 1987. After high school, he earned his bachelor's degree in finance from Penn State University. Chris spent years wiring and installing outdoor lighting for both residential and business properties.
Chris enjoyed building things with his hands. He loved being outdoors, whether it was landscaping, hiking, or even kayaking. He was compassionate and a beautiful soul. He battled his cancer with tenacity, strength, and courage. He will be missed and cherished by all those that knew and loved him.
Along with his mother and wife, Chris is survived by his son, Justin C. Snare and his wife, Maggie, of Jacobus, PA; his daughter, Madison Porter of Beech Creek; step children, Marrissa Thompson and her husband, Tom, Ethin Wolfe, and Bree Burton; five step grandchildren, Rielyn Thompson, Axelia Thompson, Emmet Thompson, Ziyah Burton, and Lynlee Burton; his brother, Timothy L. Snare and his wife, Jennifer, of Alpena, MI; and his sister, Lynnette C. Offner and her husband, Steven, of Royersford, PA.
Along with his father, Chris was preceded in death by his infant brother, Terry Snare.
A viewing will be held at the Barbara Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Centre Hall on Thursday, July 17, 2025 from 11am – 12 noon.
