Christopher was born on December 30th, 1974 and passed away on
April 13th, 2025 at the age of 50Christopher L. "Sog" Sowers of Anderson - an amazing husband, Paw, dad, son, and friend - passed away unexpectedly on April 13, 2025, at the age of 50.
Chris was born to Howard and Karen Sowers on December 30, 1974, in Anderson. After graduating from Frankton High School, Chris held several positions before entering a career with MacAllister Rentals, where he worked for 19 years. On July 3, 2010, Chris married the love of his life, Krissy House, and they shared nearly 15 years together.
Known in the community for his heart of gold, Chris was one of those special souls that never met a stranger. He was a friend to everyone, and he considered his friends to be family. The people in his life meant the world to him, and he never tired of sharing special moments with those he held dear, especially his grandson, Jaxx. The love Chris had for Jaxx was immeasurable, and he was never happier than when he and Jaxx would hang out together on the farm of a family friend, talking, joking, and helping with chores. While Chris has gone, he most certainly will not be forgotten; his memory will be cherished by his family, his coworkers, and pretty much all who knew him.
Chris is survived by his wife, Krissy, and his daughter, Natalie (Tyler) Plank. He is also survived by his grandson, Jaxxen Weaver; his granddaughters, Joanna and Madi; his step-children, Haleigh Farmer, Joe Farmer, and Crystal Ake; his mother, Karen Sowers; his brother, Mike (Lisa Alexander) Sowers; and his nephews, Andrew (Koren) and Brandon (Kel). He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Sowers.
Services for Chris have been entrusted to Harper & Dunnichay Funeral Home in Frankton, Indiana. A public visitation and funeral ceremony are scheduled for this Friday, April 25, 2025; visiting hours will be from 11:00am until 2:00pm, and the funeral will commence at 2:00pm. Officiating will be Rev. Roger Brooks of Frankton Christian Church. Immediately following the ceremony, Chris will be interred at the KoP-IOOF Cemetery after a brief committal service.
