Christopher P. Spencer, 62, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2022 at the Linda E. White Hospice House. He was born January 16, 1960 to the late Joyce (Howton) and Paul H. Spencer.
Chris graduated from Central High School in 1978 and received his Transportation degree from Ivy Tech. He worked in the Transportation and Safety Industry for 40 years, most recently at Centurion Trucking. Chris was a volunteer firefighter in German Township and also volunteered for the Emergency Management Agency. He was an avid University of Kentucky basketball and NASCAR fan and was an amateur storm chaser.
Chris is survived by his wife, Laurie (Moad) Spencer; sons, Scott Spencer and Jake Spencer: grandson, Eli Spencer; brothers, Paul (Patty) Spencer and Rick Willoughby; aunt and uncle, Sally and Dusty Rhoades; nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Chris was preceded in death by his son, Nicholas Spencer; brothers, Dale Fain and Nick Willoughby; and sister, Toni LeFevre.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, May 9, 2022 at Ziemer Funeral Home Central Chapel, 626 N. First Avenue. A funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at the funeral home with Pastor Jeremy Faughn officiating. The funeral service will be livestreamed online at www.ziemerfuneralhome.com and can be accessed by clicking the Photos and Videos tab.
Memorial contributions may be made to Easterseals, 3701 Bellemeade Ave., Evansville, IN 47714 or the Linda E. White Hospice House, 611 Harriet St., Evansville, IN 47710.

Our sincere condolences on the passing of Chris. We know him from OHCC where oversaw security for our church. He was such a wonderful, caring gentle man . We will miss him dearly and always remember his smile.
