Christopher Jason "Topher" Stone, born on February 3, 1974, in Gaston County, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2025, in Bland County, Virginia, at the age of 50.
Christopher was a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He dedicated much of his professional life to the restaurant industry, where he was known for his hard work, dedication, and warm hospitality.
Beyond his career, Christopher was a talented artist with a passion for drawing, often finding solace and expression through his art. An avid reader, he delighted in discovering new worlds through the pages of a book. He also enjoyed the thrill of watching NASCAR races and was a loyal fan of the Raiders and NC State. His green thumb was evident in his love for gardening, where he nurtured both plants and the souls of those who admired his work.
Above all, Christopher was recognized for being a great person, whose kindness and generosity touched everyone he met. He leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will be remembered by all who knew him.
Christopher is preceded in death by his beloved brother, Timothy Stewart, and his life partner, Kimberly Watts. He is survived by his loving parents, Linda Stewart and Anthony Stone; his devoted sister, Brandy Stewart and her husband Chris; his brother, Jesse Smith; his adored niece, Emily Renken; and his nephews, Gavin and Jace Renken. He is also fondly remembered by numerous aunts, uncles, extended family, friends, his second family "The Bland Caregivers" and His dog Sprocket.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember Christopher’s remarkable journey and the joy he brought into their lives.
In these moments of reflection, we hold dear the memories of Christopher's gentle spirit and unwavering love. May he rest in eternal peace.
