Christopher Allen Strickland

WALTERBORO – Christopher Allen Strickland, age 67, of Walterboro, South Carolina, entered into rest Monday, January 5, 2026, at the Trident Medical Center in North Charleston. He was the son of Delores Gooding Strickland Beach and the late James Vernon Strickland.

Born August 19, 1958, in Hampton County, South Carolina and served his country in the United States Navy. Christopher was a true outdoorsman and survivalist. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, four wheeling, gardening and canning the vegetables he grew. He loved Texas Pete hot sauce. He was a dog dad to Bella and Chewy.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his son Damien McCrory of Walterboro, his sister Allison Elaine O’Connell of Massachusetts, his step-sister Ethel Ward (Rudy) of Hampton, two nieces and two nephews.

Christopher was preceded in death by his wife Jessica Strickland and his sister Sharon Strickland.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 11:00 at The Brice Herndon Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment will follow in Strickland Cemetery, Straw Pond Drive, Ruffin.
