Christopher Patrick Stripling was born to Jackie Dean and Lavada Marie (Ballard) Stripling on January 9, 1988, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and passed from this life on January 8, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of thirty-six years old, one day short of his thirty-seventh birthday.
Christopher, known to most as “Bubba”, attended schools in the Shawnee area and graduated from Dale High School in 2006. He loved anything Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls, his dog Diamond, old trucks, and especially hanging out with his “Big Cousin”, Teddy John. He enjoyed watching his son, niece and other family members play sports.
Anytime there was a family gathering, Bubba was there. Bubba enjoyed cooking and teaching his son to cook. Most often he loved bringing special recipes to the table to share with others. He was an amazing husband, dad, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, and friend to all who knew him.
Christopher was preceded in death by his parents, Jackie Dean and Lavada Marie Ballard Stripling, and one brother, Eddie Roy Stripling.
Christopher Patrick Stripling is survived by his loving wife, Becky, and son, Boston Stripling, of the home in Shawnee, Oklahoma; sisters: Trilbya Stripling Anderson of Shawnee, Oklahoma, and Delaney Ann Stripling of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Sheila Richardson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Faith Zackary of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; brother, Sheldon Brett O’Guinn and wife, Michelle, of Williamsburg, Virginia; nieces, Anneca Anderson of Shawnee, Oklahoma, and Payton Stripling of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and nephew, Dysen Stripling of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He is also survived by loving aunts, Shirley Ballard Nero and husband, Donnie, and Marilyn Jackson of Clearview, Oklahoma, and a host of cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 16, 2025, 1:00 – 7:00 p.m., and Friday, January 17, 2025, 10:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., at AE Funeral Services Chapel, 603 W. Independence St., Shawnee, Oklahoma 74804.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025, 1:30 - 5:00 p.m., at the Grand Casino Hotel and Resort, Grand Event Ball Room, North Door, Shawnee, Oklahoma 74804.
