Christopher Daniel Stubbs passed away unexpectedly on August 27th, 2022, at the young age of 22. He was doing what he loved, riding his dirt bike at the Jordan River Motor Cross Track. Chris was born on December 22nd, 1999, to Jared & Christina Stubbs. He graduated from Viewmont High School in 2018 where both his parents and siblings attended.

From a very young age, Chris always had a radiant smile on his face and was a protector of others. He lived life to the fullest and hated wasting time or being idle. Chris excelled at everything he did and loved the outdoors. His favorite activities included motorcycling, snowmobiling, fishing, skiing, boating, hunting, camping, football, lacrosse, basketball, wrestling, baseball, and spending time with family and friends.  He was always up for an adventure at any time. As a young kid, Chris knew what he wanted and lived without fear. He was stubborn when you told him “No”, as he knew what he was doing was right.

Chris was a true mama’s boy. Up until the age of 19, he had his mother tuck him in and pray with him at night. It became a joke between them, but his mom cherished these moments. The special bond they have will last forever. He loved teasing his sister and brother and as he grew up he became one of his dads most trusted friends.  He was a tough, muscular man but was 100% teddy bear inside. Chris always loved a good challenge and never backed down. If he danced, he danced 100%, if he sang it was 100%, he wasn’t a rock star but could carry a tune. He loved music and the feeling that he got from it.

Chris excelled in many sports. His first year in wrestling he took district as a seventh grader and again in ninth grade. His favorite sport was football. In high school, Chris was the MVP of many games and an All-State football player with honors. Quoting a few of his coaches, “Chris never took a play off in practice or in games” and ” He was a beast with a smile”. He chose to serve a mission rather than accepting scholarships to play college football. Sports gave him the confidence and leadership skills to be a great missionary and one of the top solar sales representatives with Vivint.

Chris served with a big smile even when things were tough. His contagious energy, determination, and love for others guided him. He had a special bond with his Grandpa Stubbs and looked up to him in many ways. Chris attended Utah State University to obtain his JD/MBA. He had so many things he loved to do which made it hard for him to decide on one career for the rest of his life. He was interested in real-estate, flying planes, working in law enforcement, or becoming an entrepreneur. His “no regrets” and “maxed out” attitude made it possible for Chris to live more lives in 22 years than most do in a lifetime.

Chris served as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Guatemala, Guatemala City Central Mission. He loved the Spanish language, the people, and the adventure of hitchhiking through Guatemala. The COVID-19 pandemic brought him home for 4 months. He could have stayed, but his determination to serve the Lord gave him the opportunity to finish his mission in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Mission. During his mission, he made eternal friendships with his big smile and personality.

Christopher is survived by his parents Jared and Christina Stubbs, sister Samantha Carter and husband Samuel, brother Trevor, grandparents Byron and Mar Jean Stubbs and Allan and Ilene Graves and Great-Grandpa Donald Graves, as well as many close aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services and viewings will be held at the Parrish Heights Ward church building 610 North Rowland Way (100 East), Centerville, Utah 84014. The viewings will be held Friday September 2nd, 2022 from 6-8 PM and Saturday September 3rd, 2022 from 9-10:30 AM. The funeral services begin at 11 AM following the Saturday viewing. We want to thank all those who helped and comforted Chris at the accident, Vivint for their donation, the Parrish Heights Ward, Russon Brothers Mortuary, and all those that donated their time, shared photos, videos, and memories, and donated to his Go Fund Me.
