Christopher "Moose" Sykes

Moose, age 31, went to his Heavenly Home on Saturday, May 13, 2023. He was a resident of Albany, LA. Moose loved playing basketball and playing around with his siblings. He was most happy with his children and always looked forward to spending time with them. Moose was genuinely a caring guy that would do anything he could for others. He had a smile that could light up a room and would always make you smile or laugh. Moose had a big heart and always put his family first. He left his family with a lifetime of laughs and wonderful memories. Moose will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his daughter, Khloe Ryann Anthony; sons, Elijah Ray Sykes, Austin Blake Sykes, Ayden Reid Sykes, Aaron Anthony Sykes, Dalton Blake Jones; parents, Ivy and Tiffany Sykes Williams; sisters, Elizabeth "Meme" Sykes, Zanobia Banks, Kiarra Banks; brothers, Sean Sykes (Remi), Devin Ray Ritch, Ivy Ray Banks, Laquinton Banks; grandparents, Huey P. Sykes Jr., Patricia Ann Cook, and Elizabeth Phillips; and numerous extended family members.
Moose is preceded in death by his grandmother, Shirley Preston; and great-grandparents, Huey Sykes Sr., Estelle Sykes, Norman Cook, and Etta Lott.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation from the chapel of Brandon G. Thompson Funeral Home at 12012 Hwy 190 W. Hammond, LA 70403 on Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Sykes Family Cemetery.
