Christopher Taylor, 23, from Cape Coral, FL, died in the line of duty as a Charlotte County Sheriff's Deputy on November 22nd, 2022. He was born on November 19th, 1999 at Cape Coral Hospital in Cape Coral, FL, to Richard Taylor Jr. and Karen Corliss Taylor.
Growing up Christopher enjoyed Boy Scouts and MMA classes, He loved to fish from his kayak and would be on the water from sun-up to sun-down.
Christopher graduated from North Fort Myers High School in 2018. He had a very bright future for a football career but protecting his community was in his heart and he knew that would be his chosen career.
Christopher enjoyed and was an excellent line dancer. He would attend The Ranch every Wednesday to line dance with friends. For three years Christopher worked at Back Streets Sports Bar which earned him the love and respect of the owner and all his co workers.
He attended FSW until he entered the academy. Upon graduation from the academy on February 3rd, 2022, Christopher began his career with the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office. He was pinned on February 14th, 2022, by his fiancé Madi Williams.
While at the academy and during his time at the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office he shined bright and created many great relationships. His Brothers and Sisters in green became family and he enjoyed their friendship on and off duty.
Survivors include his loving Mother, Karen Taylor, Father, Richard Taylor JR., Sister, Jessica Cahill and husband Lee, his loving fiancé, Madi Williams, Grandparents, Paula and John Howe, Richard and Joanne Corliss, Richard Taylor Sr. and Liz, niece Makenzie Cahill and nephew Logan Cahill, Uncle Rick Corliss, Aunt Doreen Pereira, Aunt Joanne Gahr, and cousins, Evan Pereira, Hunter Church, Dakota Church. He also leaves behind his two fur babies, Spencer and Denali, as well as many friends and his CCSO family.
