Chris Thompson, 68, passed away peacefully, surrounded by the people who loved him most. He was a wonderful husband, a proud dad and grandpa, a loving brother, uncle, and a devoted dog parent. His quiet strength, gentle heart, and steady presence will be deeply missed every single day.
Chris met the love of his life, Molly, almost 26 years ago on a dating website. What started as a simple message turned into nearly 25 beautiful years of marriage. They shared a special kind of love-one full of laughter, kindness, and everyday joys like long walks, visits to the dog park, and frappuccino dates. They were true partners, and their love was easy to see.
Earlier in life, Chris found happiness near the ocean. He loved to sail and spend time at the beach. But in the last part of his life, he found his greatest joy in being home-with his family, his dogs, and the people who meant the world to him.
Chris worked as a truck driver and was known for being incredibly handy-he could fix just about anything. If something was broken, Chris wouldn't just fix it-he'd make it better. He helped others without being asked and never expected anything in return.
What we'll miss most is how he made us feel. Chris had a way of making everyone feel safe, supported, and loved. He didn't need to say much-just being near him brought a sense of comfort. He gave us his time, his care, and his heart.
Chris leaves behind his wife Molly, his children and grandchildren, his loyal dogs, and many family members who loved him more than words can say. The space he leaves behind is wide and deep, and our hearts ache with missing him.
A celebration of Chris's life will be shared soon. Until then, his family welcomes stories, memories, and kind words. Chris loved hearing stories-especially the ones that made you smile through your tears.
We miss you, Chris. So much. Thank you for everything. You will always be with us.
