Christopher Vereb Obituary
He was born on March 20, 1979 in Erie, Pennsylvania to Michael P. Vereb of Erie and the late Joan Marie (Saluga) Vereb.
Chris graduated from North East High School in 1998 and from the Rochester Institute of Technology earning a degree in Electrical Engineering.
He was currently employed as a Senior Test Automation Engineer at Aclara in Ohio.
Chris loved spending time with his children, family, and music.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Joan Marie (Saluga) Vereb.
Chris is survived by his father, Michael P. Vereb of Erie; children, Lucas Vereb and Cassidy Vereb; brothers, Michael S. Vereb (Marie) and Brian Vereb; sister, Jennifer Girts; and nieces and nephews, Julianna, Joelle, CJ, Jacob, Michael John, Gracie, Grant, Stephen, Emilee, Caleb, and Corinne.
Family and friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 South Lake Street, North East on Saturday from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm and are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Saturday at 1:00 pm at St. Gregory Thaumaturgus Church, 50 South Pearl Street, North East. The Rosary will be recited by the St. Gregory Knights of Columbus on Saturday at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Christopher's name to the Cassidy Vereb Trust Fund in care of the funeral home. Please send condolences to elkinfh.com.

I am deeply shocked to hear of the death of Chris Vereb. I got to know him during my exchange year in North East PA in 1996-1997 and we spent an wonderful year together. A warm wonderful person whose dedication was his music. He will be deeply missed. My condolences to his family and beloved ones.

WoW.. I am really at a loss. Chris was a good friend. Although we drifted away into the years after High School, anytime I´d see him it felt just like it did when we were there.
I have a volume of memories of times I had shared with Chris.
They are ALL good, very fond memories I hope I never forget.
May Chris Forever Rest in Peace.

I´m so sorry to hear of Christopher passing. I remember when the kids were younger and I babysit them. My prayers are with your family and friends. He passed way too soon.
