Christopher Watkins Obituary
66, of Lower Burrell, died Tuesday October 21, 2025 in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights after a brief illness. He was born in Altoona on July 9, 1959 to the late Jacques Rex and Joan Marie (Uhrine) Watkins and was a life long resident of Lower Burrell.
Mr. Watkins was a member of Bethesda Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lower Burrell and worked for PCA, RIDC Park, and had previously worked for Conco and TesTex, both in Murrysville. He was an instrument rated private pilot and had a part 107 drone pilot license. He enjoyed painting, writing short stories, and played the bass guitar in numerous bands including Earthlyte and Backseat Romeo. He also loved sports, especially the Steelers, Penguins and Pirates.
He is survived by his wife of seventeen years Karen L. (Radion) Watkins, stepdaughter Catherine (Eliott) Acevedo of Plum, granddaughter Amara Acevedo, two brothers Joel (Stacy) Watkins of State College, Grant Watkins of Hickory, PA., and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday October 29 at 11 AM in Bethesda Lutheran Church, 3084 Leechburg Rd., Lower Burrell, 15068.
