Christopher Wells

Christopher Scott Wells, 55, passed away at U of L St Mary and Elizabeth Hospital on November 12, 2025. He was born April 20, 1979 in New Albany, Indiana, to Gary Wells and Diane Doyle. He grew up in Southern Indiana and attended Floyd Central High School. He worked as a mechanic at Coca Cola/Red Classic for 31 years. Chris was actively involved in his church, Lincoln Hills Christian Church. He volunteered with the children's ministry for about 25 years and has also helped lead the men's ministry. Chris was also a dean for many years at Scenic Hills Christian Camp and a volunteer at Cap Illiana. He was known for his love for everyone, especially his grandkids, and his classic "Dad" jokes. Chris was always on a mission to share the hope and love of Jesus with others and to make people smile.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Diane Doyle; his father, Gary Wells; his grandson, Leeland Baumgartle. Chris is survived by his wife, Kelly Wells; his children Alex (Jordan) Wells and Amanda (Isaac) Baumgartle; his grandchildren Israel, Meadow and Wells Baumgartle; his stepmom Debbie Wells; his brothers, Todd (Suzy) Wells, and Justin (Rain) Wells; his sister Tracey (Ray) Graves, his aunt Sue Runyan and many nieces and nephews.
