Christos Dimopoulos
1965-2024
Dudley, MA – Christos Dimopoulos, age 58, died peacefully Tuesday, February 13th at home surrounded by his family. Born in Chrysochorafa, Greece, he and his family immigrated to the U.S. in 1970.
Christos worked at UNFI, Dayville, CT for the past 17 years as an 18-wheel route driver making deliveries to supermarkets and specialty stores all over New England. He thoroughly enjoyed this line of work and the many other drivers he had the pleasure of working with. Prior to UNFI he worked for 18 years at the John J. Nissen Baking Co. in Worcester.
Christos was an avid Boston sports fan with the Patriots being his favorite team. He enjoyed attending the home games with family and friends. He also loved to travel throughout New England but most of all he loved spending time with his two daughters.
Christos is survived by his daughters, Sophia and Alexis Dimopoulos, and their mother, Debra, all of Worcester, MA; his sister, Helen Gardner and her husband Steve of Dudley; his brother, George Dimopoulos and his wife Dawna of Thompson; his niece, Tanya Gardner and his nephews, Christopher Gardner and Nicholas Dimopoulos. He was predeceased by his parents, Argyrios and Soultana Dimopoulos.
Family and friends are invited to visit with his family on Saturday, February 24th from 1:00-3:00 pm in the Valade Funeral Home and Crematory, 23 Main Street, North Grosvenordale, CT. A memorial guestbook is available at www.gilmanandvalade.com.
