Christy Magee Obituary
Visitation will be held at 9:00 AM with a Rosary at 9:30 AM Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Grace Funeral Home, 2401 Houston Hwy, Victoria, Texas 77901. A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM at Grace Funeral Home with Pastor Jason Page officiating. A reception will be held in the Grace Reception Suite immediately following the service.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ysidra Ortega Benitez.
Christy is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Raymond Magee, her four sons, Brian Magee, Dan Nava, Zachary Magee and Skylar Magee, all of Victoria, her mother, Eva Cruz of Victoria, her brother, Alonso Cruz of Victoria, her sisters Kaci (Corey) Banda and Chelsea (Eric) Rivas, of Victoria her brand new grandson, Kayson Duke Magee, numerous nieces and nephews and many other family members and friends.
Christy grew up in Victoria and graduated from Victoria High School in 1987. She married Raymond Magee on January 29, 1999, in Victoria. She loved cooking and entertaining. She was intrigued by poetry starting in her high school literature class where she fell in love with "Stopping in Woods on a Snowy Evening" by Robert Frost. She enjoyed scrapbooking, reading and writing poetry. Spending time with her family and friends was something she always looked forward to, along with traveling.
She was Raymond's princess, she put up a hard fight for the past two years with a terrible disease, never once complaining. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. In Raymond's words, "rest easy my lovely wife, I will never stop loving you and the life we had together".
