Charles 'Chuck' Robert Threet, 85, of Early Texas passed away at home with his wife by his side. A graveside service will be held at Eastlawn Memorial park, 2:00 PM, Friday, October 10, 2025 officiated by Bill Slaymaker under the direction of Heartland Funeral home.
Chuck was born on August 5, 1940 in Cisco Texas. He was the beloved son of Verna Belle and Oscar Bryant Threet who preceded him in death along with his brother Douglas Threet.
Chuck grew up in Cisco Texas and went on to graduate from Texas A&M University. Following his education, he proudly served his country as a Captain in the United States Marine Corps. After his military service, he returned to his roots in agriculture, working as the Brown County Agriculture Extension Agent where he dedicated his time to helping local farmers and ranchers succeed and helping strengthen the agricultural community.
Chuck's love of horses eventually became his second career and greatest passion. Through dedication and skill, he raised and trained several award-winning Arabian racehorses, earning respect and admiration throughout the racing community.
Chuck was devoted to his family. He and his wife Paula shared 64 wonderful years together, raising three children and one of their grandchildren.
Chuck will be remembered for his wisdom, the love he shared with his wife, his lifelong passion for horses, and his appreciation for good country music.
Chuck is survived by his daughters Kimberly Mikszath and Denese Threet; son, Bradley Threet; grandchildren, Dekayla Williams (Zachary), Ember Madu (Onyebuchi), Raymie Tawater (Triston), and Shelby Mikszath; great-grandchildren, Charles Johansson and Olivia Madu.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Stone Valleys Ray of Hope Equine Rescue.
