Cindae Osowski Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Herman-Taylor Funeral Home - Wisconsin Rapids on Jan. 12, 2026.
Cindae L. Osowski, of Wisconsin Rapids, age 71, passed January 11, 2026 surrounded by her loved ones in her home after a long battle with dementia.

Services will be at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 16, 2026 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services on Friday at the funeral home.

Cindae was born in 1954 to Tom and Arlene O'Day. She graduated from Assumption High School and married her sweetheart David Osowski. She had 3 children, Joshua (Caterina), Nicole, and Luke (Lili) and grandchildren, Anton, Chance, Jasper, Ophelia and Elliot.

Cindae loved her family dearly and her greatest joy was to be with them and sharing a laugh together.

As the eldest daughter of 13, she was her mom's greatest helper, assisting with the daily tasks of raising many of her siblings. She especially enjoyed the family camping trips and holiday get-togethers. Her greatest trips were spent traveling to see her children and grandchildren spread far across the U.S., or a tropical island with Dave.

Cindae and Dave had many diverse interests together, spending time together camping, traveling, birding, photographing wildlife, hiking, gardening, and turning a tract of land on the 10-mile creek into their dream home and a haven for all things wild. She beautified the world by being a caretaker of our Earth, especially an expert for growing Orchids. She planted numerous wildflower gardens and created habitat for the birds and animals she loved to watch and paint.

Cindae loved to make the world a more beautiful place. She was an accomplished Artist with an eye for detail, colors, balance, and reflections of light. She painted over 500 watercolor paintings, with scenes of nature, birds, and flowers. Cindae had the ability to make art out of nature and treasures found during travels. Their home was graced with whimsical mobiles, stunning art works, centerpieces, and beautiful paintings created by Cindae and woodworking's by Dave. Everything she put her hand to became a work of art. Her influence was so much greater than love, she shared her passion of art and creativity with her family and friends her entire life. She encouraged others to look at the world around her with a different lens.

Her laugh was one of a kind, and the fun she shared with those around her will last us a lifetime. We will miss her sparky spitfire attitude, her loyalty, and never-ending companionship, but in her words, "When it's time, let me soar on wings of love, and remember me with joy and laughter."

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Nature Conservancy.

Cindae, had been a past member of the Brush and Palette. She was a wonderful artist especially with her paintings of glass. I have one of her mobiles on display in my home. Sympathies to her family.
