Cindy Rae Billodeau, a remarkable woman known for her courage, gentleness, and selflessness, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 24, 2023, in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Born on Tuesday, August 1, 1967, in Manchester, New Hampshire, Cindy left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.
Cindy was a beacon of resilience and determination. Despite battling a longterm illness and being legally blind, she was always very positive, and she learned to enjoy the simple joys life has to offer. She enjoyed listening to movies, an activity that allowed her to envision worlds beyond her own. She enjoyed spending time with family & friends, and hugs meant the world to her. One of her biggest joys in life was being a pup-mom to her golden retriever, Boo Boo. Boo Boo showered Cindy with an abundance of love, compassion, loyalty and protection. In her younger years, Cindy worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse, a profession she chose out of a profound desire to help others. Her gentle demeanor, combined with her unwavering dedication to her patients, earned her respect from her colleagues and those she cared for.
Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Ray Billodeau; her mother, Mary Billodeau; and a brother, Randy Billodeau. She is survived by her two brothers, Ricky and Robert Billodeau. Her love for her brothers was unshakeable, a testament to the deep sense of family that was instilled in them from a young age. Beyond the immediate family, Cindy has a large extended family and network of friends who cherished her.
Cindy's life was a testament to her courage and selflessness. She faced the world with an unflinching bravery. Her gentle spirit was a soothing balm to those in need, and her selfless love was a beacon of hope in a world that often needed it. Her kindness, compassion and love will continue to be an inspiration to all who knew her. We take comfort in knowing that she is at peace and spirit lives on in the hearts of those who love her. Cindy will be remembered not just for her extraordinary life, but also for the remarkable way she lived it. We will always love and remember our dear Cindy
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
