Cindy Jean Davis, a beacon of love and generosity, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2025, at the age of 64, in Murrieta, California. Born on May 15, 1960, in San Pedro, California, Cindy's life was a testament to her unwavering positivity and her ability to connect with others.
Cindy's early years in Lynwood, California, were filled with the joy of learning and the warmth of community. A proud graduate of Lynwood High School, she carried with her the values of education and personal growth throughout her life. Her passion for education began as she became the cherished Book Store Manager at MSJC, a role she held for several years. Cindy's professional journey was marked by her compassionate service as a Special Education Clerk for the Moreno Valley School District, where she dedicated six years to supporting the needs of students.
A true animal enthusiast, Cindy's love for all creatures great and small was evident in her menagerie of horses, goats, rabbits, dogs, and birds. She found great joy in horseback riding, an activity that allowed her to connect with nature and the animals she adored. Her love for sports shone brightly through her unwavering support for the Dodgers, a team she followed with enthusiasm.
In her younger days, Cindy's grace and beauty were showcased in her modeling pursuits at Universal Studios. Yet, it was her talent for conversation and her kind-hearted nature that truly made her standout. Cindy was a people person through and through touching the lives of everyone she met with her generous spirit and her ability to light up any room.
Her love for children knew no bounds. Cindy's huge heart led her to welcome many kids into her home over the years, treating each one with the same love and care as if they were her own. This nurturing spirit extended to her beloved grandchildren, Aprilliya, Aimee, Jane, Simon, Owen, Summer, and Maddie, who lovingly referred to her as 'Nonnie.' Cindy cherished every moment with them, embodying the role of a doting grandmother with every hug and word of encouragement.
Cindy's love story with her husband, Gary, began in a single's group at a church in Anaheim, blossoming into a beautiful partnership that lasted 37 years. Together, they shared life's adventures, including memorable vacations to Hawaii, where they enjoyed the island's serenity and beauty.
An eternal optimist, Cindy approached life with a positive outlook that was truly infectious. Her love for crossword puzzles kept her mind sharp, and her conversations were always filled with hope and joy. Cindy's presence was a gift to all who knew her, and she will be remembered as a loving, generous, and friendly soul who made the world a better place.
Cindy leaves behind a loving family: her husband, Gary Davis; her four children, Josh (Tori), Jared (Jacqueline), Jose (Amanda), and Matthew; her seven grandchildren; and her brothers, Geoff and Fitz. She was preceded in death by her brother George and her parents, Fitz and Beverly.
Cindy's life was a living example of kindness and altruism. Her legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her, and her memory will be cherished forever. The world is a brighter place for having been graced by Cindy Jean Davis, and though she will be deeply missed, the love she shared will endure in the hearts of her family and friends.
