Cindy Kay Paine Day, age 70, of Burleson, Texas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 30, 2025. She was born on June 16, 1955, in Perryton, Texas, and spent her childhood on a ranch near Booker, in the heart of the Texas Panhandle.
Cindy lived a life of faith, service, and love. For 29 years, she poured her heart into teaching-guiding students from kindergarten through 12th grade. Her classroom was not only a place of learning, but also a reflection of her belief that every child is a precious gift from God.
She married her beloved husband, Danny Joe Day, and together they shared 39 years of marriage grounded in faith, laughter, and devotion. They served the Lord side by side until Danny's passing in 2023. Cindy is also preceded in death by her sisters, Nancy Carrington and Cherrie Martin, and her parents, Sim and Charline Paine. She is survived by her son, Robert Day, her daughter, Rebekah Day, and her brother, Jim Paine.
Cindy was a faithful servant in every church she attended, always eager to lend a helping hand. Her love for quilting was another way she expressed her creativity and care-each piece a labor of love, stitched with joy and purpose.
In her final days, Cindy continued to bless others with her wisdom and encouragement, sharing God's promises and peace with everyone who came to visit. Her gentle spirit, steadfast faith, and kind heart reflected the love of Christ in all she did.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, from 10:00–11:00 a.m. at Clayton Kay Vaughan Funeral Home, followed by a celebration of life service from 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.. A meal will follow at Central Baptist Church, 100 W College St, Alvarado, TX 76009.
A graveside service will be held at the DFW National Cemetery on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 2:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, Cindy requested that donations be made to your church's Missions Fund, continuing her lifelong desire to share God's love with others.
Cindy's life was a beautiful testimony of faith, perseverance, and love. Though she will be deeply missed, her family and friends rejoice knowing she is now at perfect peace in the presence of her Savior.
"Well done, good and faithful servant enter into the joy of thy Lord." - Matthew 25:23
