John E. Partaka, 79, of Sandusky, Michigan, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2025 surrounded by his family. Born on January 15, 1946, in Bad Axe, Michigan, John was the beloved son of the late John A. Partaka and Isabel A. (Danielski) Partaka. John lived a life full of simple joys and deep love for his family. He spent his younger years farming and later worked as a night watchman at Michigan Peat Moss in Minden City. Beyond his work, John's heart was always with his family and the memories they created together. He was happiest surrounded by loved ones at family cookouts and gatherings at his home, where he would tell the same stories time and again-stories that never failed to bring laughter, no matter how many times they had been heard. His grandchildren were his greatest joy. Whether he was playing cards, baking cookies, or setting out on little adventures with them, he treasured every moment. Trips to the zoo were among his favorite outings, as they brought him endless delight. John is survived by his children: John and Tracy Partaka of Sandusky; James and Alysa Partaka of Palms; Jennifer and Russell LaCroix of Tyre; Jodi McClelland and Joe Davis of Brown City; Jeremy Partaka of Carsonville; and Jeffrey and Cassie Partaka of Carsonville. He will be lovingly remembered by his many grandchildren: Kenneth Palmer, Kasey Palmer, Katelyn Palmer, Hannah Partaka, Hailey Partaka, Carson Partaka, Angel Partaka, Jamie Partaka, Mason Partaka, Wyatt Partaka, Garret McClelland, Gavin and Desiray McClelland, Nick Partaka, Riley Partaka, Gretchen Partaka, Noah Partaka, Kaden Partaka, Dakota Partaka, and Cheyenne Partaka. John will be deeply missed and forever loved by his family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him. His warmth, humor, and love for life left a lasting mark on everyone he met, and his memory will live on in the laughter of his family and the countless stories he shared.
