Cindy Marie Cole was born in Wayne County, Michigan to William Cole and Joan Royer on October 22, 1955. At just three months old, she was adopted by her loving aunt and uncle, Helen and Walter Kinsky, who raised her as their own and cherished her throughout their lives.

Cindy dedicated herself to a career at HiCal Security, where she flexed her work hours little by little to better suit her schedule, rather than those she was assigned! On March 25, 1972, she married her soulmate, Terry Grishaber, Sr., and together they were blessed with three children, who always knew her as their strongest supporter.

Despite her petite stature at 4 foot 11 inches, Cindy's fiery personality and lively spirit made her a force to be reckoned with. She loved telling her family what to do, a trait they considered her favorite hobby. Cindy also had a deep love for animals-birds, cats, dogs, and even the occasional muskrat. Feeding her cat and rabbit treats was one of her simple joys.

As her health declined, Cindy found comfort indoors, playing games on Facebook, watching old westerns, and making frequent calls to her family members. She was the rock of her family, always a dependable source of love and support, and the one everyone turned to. She had a special bond with her cousins and looked forward to getting together for breakfast as often as she could. Above all, Cindy loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whose lives she cherished. Her warmth and unconditional love will be deeply missed.

Cindy Marie Grishaber, aged 69, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday; July 10, 2025, at Corewell Health Hospital in Dearborn, Michigan. Her passing was preceded by her mother: Joan Royer; her parents: Helen and Walter Kinsky; her husband: Terry Grishaber Sr.; a daughter and son-in-law: Theresa (Kris) Lashlee; and two siblings: Louis Arquette and Murray Cox.

To cherish her memory, she leaves two children: Terry (Mandie) Grishaber Jr. and Misty Grishaber; seven grandchildren: Samantha (Jeremy Evanoff) Hammer, Chelsea Lashlee, Summer (Christopher) Adkisson, River (Holly Neva) Grishaber, Charley Lashlee, Montana Grishaber, and Kristopher Lashlee; seven great grandchildren: Oakley LaPere, Juniper LaPere, Vincent White, Arabelle Adkisson, Ledger Grishaber, Noah Lashlee and Koda Lashlee; six siblings: Ted Cox, Mary Leach, Beatrice Lambert, Veronica Stanley, Billy Cole, Sandy; and a loving sister-in-law: Anna Cox.

A graveside service with inurnment will be held at Michigan Memorial Park with date and time to be determined. Her care has been entrusted to Merkle Funeral Service, Romulus (formerly Crane Funeral Home); 36885 Goddard Road, Romulus, Michigan 48174 (734) 941-9200. Cremation has taken place through Covenant Cremation of Erie, Michigan, a division of Merkle Enterprises, Inc.
