Cindy Lou Halsey
March 5, 1955 - July 17, 2025
PULASKI, NY - On July 17, 2025 Cindy Lou Halsey, 70, of Pulaski, passed on in peace alongside her family at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was adopted in grace and love by her parents William and Carla Clark and grew up in Hastings NY alongside her siblings, Sheri Clark and Ronald Clark. She now rests in peace with both her parents and siblings in heaven.
She enjoyed a simple country life playing baseball and swimming in the creek with all of her cousins. She attended Central Square Highschool and attended Liberty Baptist College. She worked at CNS schools as a food service worker, putting a smile on hundreds of students as well as keeping the mood light and enjoyable in the kitchen. She also enjoyed volunteer work including North Syracuse Baptist Church.
Cindy married her true love, David Halsey, in 1976 and they spent 49 glorious years together, creating a family of their own. They went on to have three boys; David II, James, and William, who each day brought new stories, surprises, and adventures. Cindy and David enjoyed the many parties they catered as well as making memories at Oktoberfest gatherings with their friends and family.
Cindy loved crafts, snowmobiling, dancing, bowling, skiing, coffee hour, and spending time with her family. Cindy had many friends as she was kind, loyal, humorous, brave, and fun. She enjoyed having dinners and outings with her sons as they shared many hobbies. She instilled a thrive for adventure, a reminder to always use humor, and never ending strength in her children. Cindy had 6 grandchildren; Cody, Alysa, Dillon, Amanda, Travis, and Maggie. She also had a great grandchild, Henry, who created a sparkle in her eyes as she had a new role as "Nana". Cindy and David had a special role in the lives of their grandchildren as they lived right next door to their mother Tammy, and were very involved in their lives creating memories, laughter, and so much fun. From ski lessons, being towed in the wagon by the lawnmower, and late night hot tub talks, Cindy and David were the definition of grandparents.
Throughout all of life's obstacles, David and Cindy made the most of their life together and always kept moving forward. Even in sickness and hard times, they continued to create new adventures by enjoying a family cruise, riding in the ATV with her boys, and playing with her only great grandchild Henry. She was always down to go out to eat, get ice cream, or a shopping trip with her granddaughters. Though her final years were marked by health challenges, her spirit remained unshaken. She found
beauty in the everyday and never stopped embracing life. Illness may have touched her body, but never her soul. She met each day with grace, laughter, and a fierce love for life. She continued visiting Malone, visiting their grandson in South Carolina, attending Monster Jam and the epic turtle races alongside her boys. As a mother and grandmother, she was notorious for giving kitty washes, and trips to the ice cream stand.
The love Cindy and David have will forever be remembered and passed down through generations. "He lets me rest in green meadows: leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength"; Psalm 23.
We believe Cindy is no longer bound by illness, but now walks in light and freedom, watching over us with love and peace.
Relatives and Friends are invited to Calling Hours from 2 - 4 p.m. on Monday, August 4, 2025 from Harter Funeral Home, Inc. 9 Washington Ave. Mexico, NY.
