Mrs. Cindy Reeves McRae, 61, of West Point, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center.
Mrs. McRae was born June 18, 1964, in LaGrange, daughter of the late Dwain Martin Reeves and Ernestine Booth Reeves. A resident of Troup County most of her life, she had attended LaGrange College, was employed as an administrative assistant for the criminal investigations division of the West Point Police Department, and was previously employed by Troup 911 and Cherokee County 911. She enjoyed shopping and being with her family, but she especially loved spoiling her grandbabies and supporting her granddaughter Cami's soccer team.
Survivors include her son and daughter in-law, Benji and Cheyenne Whitley, and her grandchildren, Cami Whitley and Ridge Whitley, all of LaGrange; sister, Kimberly and Steve Ellis of Birmingham, AL; brother, Marty and Wanda Reeves of LaGrange; and nieces and nephews, Tyler Hopkins, Lindsey Hyslop (Eric), Ethan Hopkins, Corbin Reeves, and Serena Reeves.
A service to celebrate Cindy's life will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., (CDT), Saturday, October 11, at Oasis of White Plains Worship Center, 23153 U.S. 431 in LaFayette, AL. Pastor Jeremy Sheppard will officiate.
The family will greet friends at the church prior to and after the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Chattahoochee Valley Tres Dias, % Tonya McDowell, 145 Lakeview Dr., Roanoke, AL 36274.
