Cindy Diane (Punkin) Shipley, 65, of Oldtown, MD, passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, December 7, 2024.
Born July 10, 1959, in Cumberland, MD, she is the daughter of Margaret "Margie" F. (Appel) Humbertson and the late James "Jim" L. Humbertson.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, James "Jimbo" R. Humbertson.
Cindy was a graduate of Fort Hill High School. She began working as a medical secretary at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland. Later, she was at Hunt Club Medical Clinic, working for the health system over 30 years.
Cindy loved the outdoors at camp, being a Florida snowbird, tending to her flowers, doing crafts, and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her mother, Cindy is survived by husband, Stephen; son, Justin Ratke and wife Amy; daughter, Jamie Ratke; grandson, Mason Ratke; sister, Stacey Roderick; stepchildren, Stephanie Kinnamon and husband Matt, and Stephen Shipley and Katie; and, step-grandchildren, Darron, Rhiannon, Madi, and Wyatt.
Per Cindy's wishes, there will be no services. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date for family and friends.
Her family would like to thank the amazing staff at UPMC-WM CVU for their support and care.
