Clair Henry Heise, 80 of Luckey, OH passed away at home on early Thursday morning, October 9, 2025. Clair was born on July 28, 1945 to Henry and Margaret (Evans) Heise in Toledo, OH. He would later become a member of the 1963 Graduating Class at Eastwood High School. While Clair was blessed with two children from a previous marriage, he was able to find love again. On October 24, 1981 he married Holly Smith in Woodville, OH. Clair and Holly celebrated nearly 35 years of marriage until Holly's passing in 2016.
Clair worked in maintenance at the Anderson's for 45 years. He was an active member of Woodville United Methodist Church. He enjoyed going out on his boat fishing, attending his local coffee clutch, and farming in his younger years. He was a master welder and could put just about anything together, without it looking like it had ever been touched. Clair was a lover of pets; be they cats or dogs he enjoyed having them both as his own pets.
Clair is survived by his children: Daniel (Gloria) Heise of Luckey, and Kim (Jeff) Kohring of Pemberville. Grandchildren: Daniel Heise, Jacqueline (Justin) Slaughterbeck, Emily (Chad) Green, and Erica (Zach) Aurand. Great-grandchildren: August, Cora, Eliza, Levi, Addison, and sister Martha (Randal) Gahn of MI,
Clair will be laid to rest with Holly, at a family committal service in Troy Township Cemetery, Luckey, OH.
