She was born in Newark, New Jersey to the late Mathilda (Wintzel) and Carl Gerlach.
Claire was a longtime parishioner of Holy Family Church.
She is predeceased by beloved husband Eugene, and her daughter Linda Meyer.
Claire is survived by her devoted son Eugene and her daughter in law Susan, and her sister Doris Gerlach. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren Barbara Butler and Stacy Toal and her husband John, and great grandchildren Jordan Toal and Geno Toal.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend a graveside service for Claire on Tuesday September 30, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Shoreland Memorial Gardens in Hazlet, New Jersey.
