Claire Camisa, 86, passed away peacefully in Suffern, NY. Born in Queens, NY, Claire's life journey took her through New Jersey, Vermont, and New York, where she built a lifetime of memories, family, and friendships.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Eugene Camisa, and her devoted life partner, William Simmons. Claire is survived by her daughters Maria Czarnowski and her husband Jerry, and Antonia Remsen and her husband John; her grandchildren Alex Miller, Kole Remsen, and Cross Remsen; and her adopted daughter, Martha Reed Williams. She is also lovingly remembered by her nephews and nieces Louis Suffredini, George Suffredini, Maureen Damstra, John Magee, Michele Piccerill-Alicea, and Gina Piccerill-Reich, along with many cherished grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Claire Bear was what she was lovingly called and a bear she was! She loved everyone fiercely especially her grandkids. She was a bear allot of the times and the best person you would meet all of the time. Kind hearted is not strong enough to describe her. She had an amazing run, traveled the world, owned her beloved restaurant Villa Camisa she loved and suffered too many losses. We will all miss her terribly but we knew she was ready to be with all those she loved that went before her.

A private family remembrance will take place.
