Frank Persichetti, a lifelong resident of Sloatsburg, NY, passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025.

Frank was born on March 23, 1937, to Frank and Fanny (Long) Persichetti. He was raised on "Marshmello Hill" in Sloatsburg. Frank attended Suffern High School, where he lettered in football and track and field. He was a member of the 1955 county championship football team as a sophomore, and later placed third in the shot put at the state championships held at Madison Square Garden. In recognition of his achievements, he was inducted into the Suffern High School Hall of Fame.

Alongside his father, Frank built F. Persichetti, Inc., a successful construction company. He was also the longtime proprietor of Sunnyside Bar and Grill. It was there, at Sunny Side Restaurant, that he met his future wife, Juliann "Pudgie" Mottola. The two were married and began their family "on the flats" of Sloatsburg. Over their 63 years together, Frank and Pudgie raised their family and built a home, known for its lively gatherings-Super Bowl, Labor Day, and Christmas Eve parties that later became cherished traditions.

Frank was a veteran of the United States Army, a member of the Sloatsburg Fire Department, the Kearsing Edwards American Legion Post 1600, and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 363.

A devoted fan of the New York Giants and the Brooklyn Dodgers, Frank also enjoyed summers at the Jersey Shore. Still, most of all, he loved his winter home in Lighthouse Point, Florida, where he and Pudgie built lasting friendships that became like family.

In recent years, Frank lived near his children in the "President" section of Sloatsburg. He found joy in tending to his patio vegetable garden and spending time with neighbors and family.

Frank is survived by his children, daughters Maryanne and Juliann, and son Frederick Persichetti, as well as his son-in-law, Richard Velardi; his grandchildren, Gina and Lou Iannaccone, and Anna Velardi; and the light of his life, his great granddaughter, Gianna Maria Iannaccone. And many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Juliann; his parents, Frank and Fanny; and his siblings, Benjamin, Fred, Mary, Rose, and Benetto.

Donations in Frank's memory may be made to St. Joan of Arc Church, 32 Eagle Valley Road, Sloatsburg, NY, or to the Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate, also on Eagle Valley Road in Sloatsburg.
