Claire M. (Nadeau) Fleming, 90, of Auburn's Pakachoag Village Community, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 12, 2025. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Gerald F. "Jerry" Fleming, who passed in 2009.
Claire is survived by her loving children, James M. Fleming, of Worcester, and Patricia A. Champagne and her husband Joseph, of Oxford; her nieces and nephews: Ellen Fleming, of Arlington, John Fleming, Thomas Cleary and his wife Paula, John Cleary and his wife Mary, Robert Cleary and James Cleary, all of Worcester; along with several cousins in the Fitchburg/Westminister, her longtime neighbor and friend, Jan Oliver, of Worcester, and her many friends and neighbors from Pakachoag Village in Auburn. Her brother, Norman E. Nadeau, predeceased her in January 27, 2020, along with her childhood friend, Pauline Perla, who passed in December of 2024.
Claire was born in Fitchburg, daughter of the Aristide and Corrine (Boudreau) Nadeau. She was raised and educated in Fitchburg, and graduated from St. Bernards High School. Claire was a loving and devoted homemaker for her family, and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them. She also loved playing Bingo in her free time. Claire and Jerry loved New England sports, and were avid Red Sox and Patriots fans.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather with Claire's family to celebrate her life with a funeral Mass at 10 AM on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at the North American Martyrs Church, 8 Wyoma Drive, Auburn, with burial to follow at St. John's Cemetery in Worcester. The Britton-Wallace Funeral Home is honored to be assisting with arrangements.
