Mass of Christian Burial for Claire Hoffmann, 90, of Marshall, formerly of Minneota, will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at St. Edward Catholic Church in Minneota. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 13, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 5:00 p.m. and a Parish Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. at the Horvath Remembrance Center in Minneota. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. at the Remembrance Center. Interment will follow the service at St. Edward Catholic Cemetery in Minneota.
Claire Mary (Haertjens) Hoffmann was born on October 15, 1935, in Burton Township, Yellow Medicine County, to Henri and Irma (DeDecker) Haertjens. She was baptized and confirmed at St. Edward Catholic Church. Claire attended Country School District 75 and graduated from Minneota High School in 1953. She was united in marriage to Floribert Hoffmann on June 27, 1956. The couple farmed north of Minneota until they moved to town in 1995.
Claire was a kind and compassionate person who was always willing to help others in need. She was a hard worker and worked alongside her husband, Floribert on the family farm. Claire volunteered for Meals on Wheels and the Minneota Senior Center. She was a lifelong member of St. Edward Catholic Church and belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary and Joan of Arc Society. She lived at the Madison Avenue Apartments in Minneota for a time before moving to Boulder Creek Memory Care due to health reasons.
Claire died on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at the Prairie Home Hospice McLaughlin House in Marshall. She is survived by her daughters Rita (Warren) Regnier of Marshall, Linda (Marvin) Determan of Marshall, Theresa (Duane) Regnier of Lynd and Lisa (Keith) Regnier of Lynd, 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Floribert, brother Arsene Haertjens and one great-great-grandchild.
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staffs of Madison Ave Apartments, Boulder Creek and Prairie Home Hospice for the care that Claire received.
