HOGARTY, Claire L. (McWeeney) Of West Roxbury, MA. June 1, 1941 - September 8, 2025. Claire was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward Hogarty (d. 2011). Loving mother of Michael Hogarty and his wife, Suzanne, of Naperville, IL, Suzanne Hogarty of Arlington, MA, Stephen Hogarty and his wife, Flora, of Walpole, MA and Nicole Hogarty of Rockland, ME. Grandmother of Sean, Stephen, Madeline, and Grace Hogarty. Sister of John McWeeney and his wife, Marilyn, of Lexington, MA, Margo McWeeney and her late spouse, Skyp, of Carver, MA and the late Gerald McWeeney and his late wife, Nancy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Claire was a dedicated and beloved teacher for over 30 years. Engaging and working with young minds at Holy Name School, Mount St. Joseph Academy, and James P. Timilty Middle School, as well as other schools throughout Boston, where she coached teachers. She was also an avid sports fan, supporting Boston College football and all the New England teams. Funeral from the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St., WEST ROXBURY, Tuesday, September 16, at 9:00 am, followed by a Funeral Mass in Holy Name Church, at 10:00 am. Visiting Hours on Monday, September 15, 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Relatives and Friends invited. Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery.
