Mrs. Holtman was born in Torrington on October 19, 1940, son of the late Paul E. Toussaint, Sr., and Cecelia (Lestinsky) Toussaint, and had been a lifelong area resident. She was a retired employee with the Torin Corp. Claire enjoyed horseriding, snowmobiling, and had a great love for animals.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, Richard, include three children, Holly A. Holtman, Richard P. Holtman, and David R. Holtman; five grandchildren, David R. Holtman, Jr., Jenna Rose Lopardo, Megan Holtman, Paul Holtman, and Kelly Claire; and two nieces and a nephew. Mrs. Holtman was predeceased by a brother, Paul E. Toussaint, Jr.
Services and burial in Hillside Cemetery, Torrington, were private.
