Clara Louise Butenhoff, 91, of Shell Lake died on July 30, 2025, at her home. She was born July 19, 1934, in Iowa Falls, IA to Russel and Clara (Anderson) Reynolds.

She was married in Sarona, WI on June 15, 1952, to Norman Butenhoff who preceded her in death on August 23, 2013.

Louise took pride in her home cooked meals and many loaves of bread. She enjoyed tending to her garden, sewing, and teaching others canning and baking skills.

She is survived by four children, Mart (Marie) Butenhoff of Marshalltown, IA, Jerry (Kathy) Butenhoff of Shell Lake, Lynette (Brett Dodge) Butenhoff of Shell Lake, and Scott Butenhoff of Shell Lake; 12 grandchildren, Lori, Sara, Amy, Mike, Jonell, Rita, Hannah, Shane, Patrick, Cassandra, Ben and Jill; 14 great grandchildren, Claire, Brandt, Blake, Danny, Layne, Levi, Landen, Sabra, Chase, Aselin, Norman, Aubrey, Autumn, and Waylon; nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Norman; daughter-in-law, Joanna Butenhoff; and brothers, James and Charles Reynolds.

Visitation will be held at 11 AM - 3 PM Monday, August 4, 2025, at Skinner Funeral Home in Shell Lake. Burial will be in Shell Lake Cemetery immediately following.

Skinner Funeral Home of Shell Lake is serving the family.
