Clara Green Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ritchay Funeral Home - Wisconsin Rapids on Jan. 6, 2026.
Clara Genevieve Green, age 92, of Port Edwards, WI, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2026, at Hilltop Alpine Terrace.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Ritchay Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will follow at the Port Edwards Cemetery in Port Edwards, WI.
Clara was born on May 6, 1933, in Biron, WI, to Carl M. and Genevieve (Mandry) Pasciak. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1951. She worked at the Rapids movie theatre and at Consolidated Papers. Clara retired from Consolidated Papers on April 30, 1999, after 32 years.
Clara married the love of her life, Robert James ("Jim") Green on June 4, 1955, meeting at the movie theatre. Jim Green passed away on May 5, 1985. In her later years, Clara spent her time with Richard ("Dick") Oleson, who was special to her and her family.
Family was the center of her world. Clara loved cooking and enjoyed having her house full for family get-togethers and always asked "are you hungry?" to whoever walked into her home. She was also a huge fan attending many of her grandchildren's and great- grandchildren's sporting and school events in Wisconsin and Minnesota.
Clara had an artistic talent, making ceramic pottery, helping with many art and craft projects, and knitting blankets. Always taking in the outdoors, Clara loved going camping and fishing. Snowmobiling was a big part of winter recreation with Clara's family, and she won the women's Powder Puff Race back in the day. She also loved traveling and was part of a ladies' craft club and card club. When she was home, Clara loved gardening, and watching the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers play, taking in some of the games through the years. Clara also had a strong bond with her poodles, Collette and Taffy. She loved listening to the music of Tom Jones, especially "Delilah".
Clara is survived by her children, Ronald Green (Brenda), Carla M.G. Staniforth (Dave), Ricky Green (Sandra); grandchildren, Justin Green (Renee), Brittany Martinson (Tyler), Dawson Green, Brett Staniforth, Grant Staniforth; and great-grandchildren, Kaelyn Green, Landon Martinson, Cooper Green, and Tucker Green.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert James Green; son, Robert G. Green; parents, Carl and Genevieve Pasciak; brothers, Carl Pasicak, Jr. and Walter Pasciak; and special companion, Richard Oleson.
The Family gives their warmest thanks to the staff at Hilltop Grand Village, and Hilltop Alpine Terrace.
In honor of Clara's love for the Packers and the Brewers, the Family requests for the memorial service for guests to wear their favorite jersey or other sports gear to honor Clara and celebrate her life.
"Remember me with smiles and laughter for that's how I'll remember you."
