Clara Broussard-Hebert was born on October 14, 1933, to the late Hortense and Percy Broussard Sr., in Lafayette, Louisiana. She resided in Lake Charles, Louisiana all her life. Clara accepted Christ at an early age and was an avid reader of the Bible and Daily Devotionals. She was a housekeeper for most of her years. She loved crafts, and making something out of nothing. She would say what's old to you was new to her. If anyone knew her, they'd know her favorite past time was patronizing (ding-dinging) at the local casino and playing pity -pat with family and friends. She loved gospel music and zydeco music on Saturday mornings. Clara was a very modest and simple lady. She didn't like anything flashy, and she was a straight shooter. Clara was feisty lady.
Clara passed peacefully from this life on March 5, 2025 at 2:3Oam.Clara leaves two sons to cherish her memory. Donald (Patricia) Hebert of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Gilbert (Nancy) Broussard of Sulphur, Louisiana. Two brothers Edward (Agnes) Broussard of Westlake, Louisiana, and James Broussard of Texas. Five Grandchildren, Ten Great-Grandchildren, one Goddaughter (Sheila Broussard), and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by both her parents, four brothers Robert Broussard, Percy Broussard, Warren Broussard, Paul Broussard, and one sister Mayola Trahan, and one grandchild, Gilbert Broussard Jr.
Psalm 23: 1-4- "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name sake. Yea, Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear No evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me." Funeral Live Stream
