Clara Marie Maso

Clara M. Maso, 98, of White Twp., NJ, formerly of Bradenton, FL, and Bridgewater, NJ, passed away on October 11, 2024, at Country Arch Care Center in Pittstown, NJ. Clara was born February 25, 1926, in Freeland, PA, to the late May Beach Drasher Horn and Calvin Drasher.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 67 years, Ernest F. Maso in 2010.
Clara worked for many years as a bookkeeper at Shop Rite in NJ. In 1970, they moved to North Miami Beach, Florida where she worked for the City of North Miami Beach Police Dept. and later to Bradenton, Florida, before returning to NJ in 2009 to be closer to her family.
She is also pre-deceased by her brothers, Calvin and Lou Drasher.
Clara was known for her cooking (and cleaning). She enjoyed crafts, she was an avid reader, and loved to travel, especially Italy and Hawaii.
She is survived by her sons, Ernest R. Maso and wife Kathy of White Twp., NJ, son Joseph E. Maso and wife Doreen of Green Brook, NJ, as well as 5 grandchildren, Michelle Walker, Sharon Maso, Steve Maso, Jill Condoluci and Christy Bitner, 13 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
The memorial service will be held on November 7th at Old Greenwich Presbyterian Church, 17 Greenwich Church Rd, Stewartsville, NJ 08886. Visitation will start at 10:30 with the service at 11. The family invites all to a repast after the service at Mainline Catering and Events (previously Flynns) located at 341 Pursel St, Phillipsburg, NJ. Arrangements are under the direction of Newbaker Funeral Home, Blairstown, NJ.
