Clara Irene Miller Mace Medure, age 95, passed away peacefully on September 8th, 2024.
Clara was born in Springhill Township, Greene County, Pa on January 5th 1929 to parents Downey Smith Miller and Rachel Iona Strope Miller. She grew up in Cameron, West Va. As an adult, Clara made her way to Ohio and resided the rest of her life in Louisville, Ohio. She was a homemaker. Clara enjoyed music, reading, playing games, and drinking coffee. To the end of her life, she maintained her grand sense of humor and a lovely voice. She enjoyed singing with her daughters during their visits to the nursing home.
Clara was preceded in death by husbands, Eldon G. Mace and Anthony R. Medure Sr.
She is survived by daughters, Linda Coffey, Shirley Vaz (Anthony), and Jane Schneider (Steven), grandsons Robert and Christopher Coffey, Ryan and Effy Falck; great-grandchildren, Odin and Elise Falck.
Special thanks to The Gardens of Belden Village staff and Compassionate Care Hospice staff for their excellent care.
A private service will be held October 26th, 2024 at St. Louis Cemetery in Louisville, Ohio where interment will take place. The family humbly requests a donation to be made in Clara's memory to Compassionate Care Hospice.
