Clara "Jean" Tripp, age 59 of Pass Christian, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2024.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Irma Nadine Blackwell; father, Willard Dickerson; and niece, Shannon Lee Tisdale.
Clara is survived by her loving husband of 34 and a half years, Mark Tripp; children, Houston Tripp, Kristen (Patrick) Jones, and Trinity Tripp; siblings, Sue (Alan) Tisdale, Betty (Benny) Carwyle, Charlotte (Donny) Floyd, and Michelle (Derrell) Harvey; and grandchildren, Dean Jones, Arrianna Tripp, and Cassandra Tripp.
Clara was a native of Forest, MS. She was a proud graduate of Florence High School, Clara continued her education at Pearl River Junior College, and became a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Clara’s professional journey saw her make significant contributions to the Clarion Ledger and the Sun Herald, where she became known for her strong work ethic. Beyond her career, Clara cherished her leisure time. She found joy in activities such as count cross stitch and solving word puzzles. However, it was spending time with her family that brought her the greatest fulfillment. Clara’s love for her family was unwavering, and her nurturing spirit will be fondly remembered by those fortunate enough to have shared in her life.
You were, are, and always will be loved as an outstanding wife, mother, sister, and aunt. Your memory will be cherished by all who knew you.
